Alberta launches PNP pilot project for semi-skilled foodservice jobs

(Apr. 30/08) Building on the success of its Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) for skilled foodservice positions, Alberta has announced a new pilot project for foodservice employers. This pilot project will assist employers in hiring qualified foreign workers for the following semi-skilled occupations: food and beverage servers, food counter attendants and kitchen helpers.

A total of 600 nomination allocations will be available for all three eligible occupations.

For information on how to apply as a participant in this pilot project, contact CRFA’s Mark von Schellwitz at 1-866-300-7675 or mark@crfa.ca.

The province has also announced that a new position – line cooks – has been added to the existing PNP for skilled occupations.  For further information about the skilled foodservice positions currently available under the Provincial Nominee Program, click here
