(Nov. 23 /10) In response to Newfoundland’s Poverty Reduction Strategy, CRFA reiterated that increasing the minimum wage is not the best way to reduce poverty or create jobs.
We recommended that government should raise the tax threshold to put more money into the pockets of the working poor, and introduce tip and training differentials to grow job opportunities in the foodservice industry.
