Have your say – Help foodservice employees quit smoking

(Jun. 30/10) The smoking rate for bar and restaurant staff is higher than average, with 29 per cent of employees in the sales and service industry smoking.*  The Conference Board of Canada estimates smoking costs employers 8.7 per cent of payroll due to illness and lost productivity.

Collaborating with various associations, including CRFA, the Atlantic Canada Lung Associations are developing a smoking cessation program for bar/restaurant staff and hospitality students to improve health and the workplace environment.

Help us help you create a healthier image for your operation by filling out this brief survey.  Your answers will help the Atlantic Canada Lung Associations design an effective program for bar/restaurant employees.
