Dear CRFA Member:

As Ontario prepares to go to the polls on Oct. 6, the Canadian Restaurant and Foodservices Association has a clear message for election candidates: Ontario’s $23-billion, 400,800- employee restaurant industry is too important to ignore!

There is no better time to approach a politician about issues impacting your business than when they are seeking election. Our industry is uniquely positioned to get a message to the provincial parties during this election – candidates are visiting restaurants daily while on the campaign trail.

You can help make restaurants matter in this election by using the resources in your Election Toolkit (available on the left):

  1. Review CRFA’s Vision for Ontario’s Restaurant Industry.
  2. Use the Participation Guide to gain a better understanding of how to get involved.
  3. Use the Ontario Candidate and Issue Checklist (PDF) to discuss industry issues with your candidates and to make them accountable after the election.

Provincial candidates need to hear about the importance of the restaurant industry to their community – and what is needed in the way of public policy to instil business confidence. We want to work together to ensure the industry can invest, create jobs and contribute to the province’s prosperity into the future.

Together we can make a difference!

Sincerely,
Ron Reaman
Vice-President, Ontario
